NDA (2) Admit card will be published in August 2018. National Defense Academy (NDA) is the national entrance examination for the selection of candidates for Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. It is conducted by the Union Civil Service Commission (UPSC).

NDA is the selection process of the second round, the first is the written test and the second is SSB (performed for written qualifying tests only). The NDA entry examination of 2017 will be held twice a year with the name of NDA (1) and NDA (2). In this article, we provide the details of NDA (2) 2018 entry examination, including admission card, examination dates, exam model and admission procedure.

NDA Exam Pattern

NDA examination model

NDA review model consists of two documents. Book 1 is Math and Document 2 is the general ability. Both documents will be held on the same day. The duration of 2 hours for each paper is provided.

NDA is made in a fashion pen and paper. There are a total of 900 brands such as; 300 brands in mathematics paper and paper 600 brands of general capacity. All questions on the exam are objective. There is a marked negative disposition in the NDA entrance examination.

Advice for preparation NDA

NDA preparation should be done in a planned manner. Proper study material is very important to get good grades. Paper last year’s practical question, when possible, increase your confidence and increase your speed and knowledge. No important questions and skip chapters. Fitness is also very important if you are an NDA application and also maintain good health.


SSB Selection Process in NDA

Candidates who have qualified NDA for written test are called for round SSB. The interview of the Service Selection Board (SSB) is the personality and intelligence.

It is 900 brands and is done in 2 steps. Step-1 is the Intelligence Intelligence (OIR) proof and description of the test and description of the image (PP & DT). In Step 2, will be held the interview, the Responsible for Testing Working Group, Testing Psychology, and Conference. SSB extends over 5 days and is carried out in SSB centers.

UPSC NDA Eligibility:


A candidate must be:
1. A citizen of India, or
2. Bhutan a topic, or
3. a subject from Nepal, or
4. A Tibetan refugee who moved to India before 1 January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
5. A person of Indian origin who has emigrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire And Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Each time a candidate in categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above is a person in favor of whom a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of Canada, India.
However, the eligibility certificate is not required for candidates who are the subject of Gorkha in Nepal.

(B) Limitations of age, sex and marital status:

A candidate must be one man and are born before January 2, 1999, and no later than January 1, 2002
Candidates must not marry until they have completed their full workout. A candidate who marries after the date of your application, even in case of success will not be selected for the training.
The candidate who marries during the training will bid farewell and be required to reimburse all expenses incurred by the government.

(C) UPSC NDA University Degrees:

1. For the armed wing of the National Defense Academy: – Pass the 12 Class 10 + 2 model of school education or equivalent examination carried out by a State Council of Education or University.
2. For the National Defense Air Force Academy and Navy wings and 10 + 2 entry system cadets at the Naval Academy in India: – Stage Class 12For 10 + 2 model School or balanced education with physics and mathematics conducted by a state or university of education.

Candidates belonging to class 12 under the 10 + 2 model of school education or equivalent exam can also apply.

(D) UPSC NDA Physical Standards: Applicants must be physically fit according to the Physical Standards of Admission to the National Defense Academy and the Naval Examination Academy as directed:

Candidates to correct minor defects / conditions to expedite the completion of the medical examination performed at the military hospital after being recommended in the SSB is advised. The illnesses of inframencionadas common minor affections are considered:
Wax (ears) nasal septum deflection, hydrocele / phimosis, overweight / low weight, low chest, saws, gynecomastia, tonsillitis, varicocele

A recommended by the selection committee will be candidate Services undergo a medical examination by a physician of the board of directors. Only candidates will be admitted to the academy to be declared fit by the medical council. The procedures of the Medical Council are confidential and can not be disclosed to anyone. However, candidates declared unfit will be informed by the President of the Medical Commission and the procedure for applying for a medical board of appeal candidate will also be informed.

Candidates declared inappropriate for the Medical Appeal Commission will be informed of the availability of the Medical Review Board.

(A) The candidate must be in good physical and mental health and be free from any sickness / disability that could impede the effective performance of military duties.

(B) There should be no evidence of poor constitution, physical defects or underweight. The candidate should not be overweight or obese.

(C) the minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cm. (162.5 cm for the Air Force)
